First off, this is not some hippy call to rebel against "THE MAN" but a question thats on my mind for a while now.
Why do people who play at lans, and high skilled tournaments let people who don't even play the game decide what to play? I'm all in for changes, and new maps, but I just can't understand how these decisions of changes and new maps come only from lowskilled players like krosan and eiM, they have never played at top level, and never will. So why let them decide what map YOU play? Just because they dont like to spectate how you play on adlernest, you will let them change it? Are you serious? I've read the whine on cic7 maplist newspost, and it just amazing how a person like this is involved into map change decisions:
Krosan on 20/01/10, 13:30:55 GMT
What boggles me is how so many people can do the radar side jump with so much ease... That's like one of the hardest jumps :s
You would think this is a troll, but this guy is actually responsible for voting the maps you will play the next two months at least. And this isnt a "personal stab" at krosan, but I just can't believe he is serious with the stuff he says, he sounds like someone who hasn't played the game more than 20h in total. Yesterday I had interesting "discussion" with him about this. Basicaly what he wanted to know, was how can we make this game better? How can we get multigamings back to ET? How can we get highskilled players to be more active during the "off-season"(when LAN isn't close)? You want my answer Krosan? Not have people like you in charge of important game changing decisions.
I know critisizing without anything to add is just stupid so here's my idea:
Make a group out of every top teams players, who will vote about such stuff. It's not like it's some hard work to make a private channel and let only 10 players or so from the top 10 teams to vote for the last 3 maps(Radar, Supply, Grush, x, x, x).
